Matthew Lennie

SpecialityMachine Learning Engineer PhD, Renewable Energy, Spire Weather

Matthew Lennie started his wind energy career at TU Berlin where he worked on some of the stranger and trickier problems facing the wind industry such as standstill blade vibrations, vortex generators and the risk of being walloped by a lump of ice being thrown from the blades (an actual planning problem in some areas). During this work, he transitioned into the exciting field of machine learning where he works today. At Spire Weather, Matthew is part of the renewables product team responsible for building and delivering weather forecasts that help the wind industry win their bets.
